Nagel-Group bundles locations in Poland and opens new central logistics hub in Poznań
Poznań, 04 March 2026. The Nagel-Group, one of Europe's leading food logistics companies, is continuing to expand its activities in Poland, focusing on consolidation, efficiency and sustainable growth. A new, tailor-made logistics property is being built in the Poznań metropolitan area, which is expected to start operations in the first half of 2027. At the same time, four existing branches will be merged at one location.
The new construction project is being implemented as part of Panattoni Park Poznań East III. Developer Panattoni is building a modern build-to-suit property (BTS) for the Nagel-Group with a total of around 46,000 m² of warehouse and office space, which will act as the central operational hub of the Nagel-Group in Poland in the future.
Consolidation strengthens operational efficiency
With the commissioning of the new site, the four existing warehouses in Diamentowa, Kolumba, Robakowo and Wiśniowa will be consolidated at a new location. This will create the most important operational hub within the national structure of the Nagel-Group in Poland. At the same time, the new location will remain in the same region, which means short distances, continuity and a new modern workplace, especially for employees.
The new branch in Poznań impresses with its excellent transport connections to the A2 and S5 motorways.
"Nagel-Group's BTS project in Poznan is the next chapter of our long-standing partnership, which has grown steadily in parallel with the expansion of our partner in Poland. Almost two decades after the completion of our first joint projects, we are now developing a central operating location that will play a central role in the Nagel-Group's activities in Poland," says Marek Dobrzycki, Partner at Panattoni. "The consolidation of several sites in one modern, well-connected facility will significantly increase operational efficiency and support the Nagel-Group's long-term growth strategy. We are proud that this international leader in food logistics has once again selected Panattoni for its most important warehouse investment in the country."
Modern logistics areas for all temperature ranges
The property has almost 42,000 m² of warehouse space and around 4,500 m² of office space and covers all temperature-controlled requirements of food logistics – from ultra-fresh (0-2/0-4 °C) to freshness (4-7 °C) and ambient zones (16–18 °C), supported by modern, precise temperature control systems. The facility is complemented by a spacious cross-dock area with around 11,000 m² and 66 loading bays. A total of 300 car parking spaces and 120 truck parking spaces are available.
Focus on sustainability and employee well-being
The project meets the highest sustainability requirements and is certified according to the BREEAM standard at the "Excellent" level. Among other things, a biological wastewater treatment plant and a heating system based on the recovery of heat from the cooling system are planned. In addition, the area integrates offers to promote employee well-being, including a leisure area with a soccer field.
"With the new location in Poznań, we are creating the basis for further sustainable growth in Poland. The bundling of four existing branches in a state-of-the-art, optimally connected logistics property increases our efficiency, strengthens our operational performance and at the same time offers attractive working conditions for our employees. Poznań will thus become a central building block of our national and European network structure," says André Pleines, Executive Director Real Estate of the Nagel-Group.
Poznań as a strong logistics location
The logistics market in Poznań has been one of the most dynamic in Poland for years. Excellent infrastructure, proximity to important transport routes and access to qualified specialists make Wielkopolska a strategically important location on the European logistics map.
