Better warehouse utilisation and more new customers: Spedition Reinsch relies on LAGERflaeche.de.

For around two years, the Straubing-based haulage company Reinsch has been using the services of the internet portal www.lagerflaeche.de. The success of the co-operation is impressive. They range from better utilisation of short-term warehouse capacities to the acquisition of new customers in the general cargo business.

Reinsch Speditions und Kontraktlogistik GmbH is a trimodal logistics service provider based in the inland port of Straubing. Reinsch has direct connections to road, rail and water. As a specialist for Eastern Europe (with its own subsidiary in Romania), the company offers special solutions in intermodal transport. Customised logistics solutions along the entire supply chain complete the range of services.

A total of 7,500 square metres of warehouse space is managed for logistics customers. "Around 2,000 square metres of the warehouse are reserved for short-term customer projects and flexible interim storage," explains Wolfang Etter, Head of Logistics at Reinsch. "In order to be able to manage these 2,000 square metres better and more predictably, we put our first project out to tender via www.lagerflaeche.de in 2007 - with success."

Since then, the medium-sized company from Straubing has consistently relied on the portal's services. "We now also use the marketing services of LAGERflaeche.de for customer acquisition in the general cargo business," says Wolfgang Etterer. Based on customer specifications (e.g. postcode areas and sectors), LAGERflaeche.de operates a sophisticated tele- and online marketing programme - with success. "So far, every campaign we have launched with LAGERflaeche.de has been a clear success in terms of acquiring new customers," says Wolfgang Etterer happily. "That's why we will continue our collaboration next year."
