The Freiburg-based barefoot shoe brand Groundies is a new customer of LOXXESS. Since the end of August 2024, the medium-sized contract logistics provider has been responsible for handling the central warehouse logistics for the B2B and B2C business, including international sales processing. The inventory comprises around 2,000 pallets with 300 different shoe models and colours. Thanks to rapid implementation, the first orders were dispatched just four weeks after the start of the cooperation.
LOXXESS AG, the medium-sized logistics company based in Tegernsee and specialising in complex logistics and value-added services, welcomes Groundies GmbH in Bor (Czech Republic) as a new customer. The Freiburg-based company was founded in 2019 and specialises in the production of barefoot shoes. Modern, aesthetic design is combined with the health benefits of barefoot walking. Groundies offers a wide range of products for men, women and children, from everyday shoes to trainers, boots and sandals.
As part of the partnership with Groundies, LOXXESS handles the warehouse logistics for the B2B and B2C business. This also includes the international dispatch of Groundies products from the central warehouse. LOXXESS also handles returns management. Further growth is also planned for 2025, which is to be promoted by the targeted expansion and optimisation of the product range and shoe styles, among other things.
"After our previous logistics operation was discontinued at short notice on 31 August, we were faced with the challenge of finding a new solution within a few weeks. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with LOXXESS, we were able to meet this ambitious schedule. The goods were relocated just three weeks after the start of the project and the first shipment was successfully handled just four weeks after the start of the collaboration. LOXXESS took over the goods storage and installation of the warehouse hardware and software and established the processes for storage and retrieval. The flexibility and professionalism of the team provided us with significant support during this critical phase," says Bernd Ryssel, Head of Customer Supply Chain Excellence at Groundies.
"We would like to thank Groundies for the trust they have placed in us. Together with our customer, we managed to successfully implement this challenging project in a very short space of time and quickly get the first orders on their way. It is a pleasure for us to be Groundies' logistics partner and to support one of the leading suppliers of barefoot shoes," explains Lars Gutermuth, member of the LOXXESS AG management team.
