Aconlog Announces Full Occupancy of Sustainable Brownfield Development in Viersen-Mackenstein

  • Shortly after completion: New logistics building with a total of 17,720 m² of usable space utilised in the long term
  • Second and final ESG-oriented unit leased to WISAG

Cologne / Viersen, July 29, 2026 - Cologne-based real estate project developer Aconlog has achieved full occupancy for its sustainable brownfield development in Viersen-Mackenstein. For the second and last unit, Aconlog has signed a long-term lease agreement with WISAG Logistics Solutions Nord-West GmbH & Co. KG. The provider of contract and intralogistics services is a subsidiary of WISAG Industrie Service Holding AG, one of the leading multi-service companies in Germany.

Following the conclusion of a lease agreement with the premium supplier of dietary supplements Sunday Natural in April 2026, the new logistics building, which comprises a total of 17,720 m² of usable space, will thus be fully let shortly after completion at the beginning of July 2026.

The lease with WISAG took place off-market. The contact came from the Aconlog network, the real estate project developer had already won WISAG as an existing user in a project in Krefeld in 2023.

WISAG will use the unit with approx. 9,150 m² of hall space and approx. 230 m² of office/social space as well as 21 car parking spaces as an additional contract logistics location for retail products from August 2026 with around 30 employees. In addition to the receipt of goods for 20 to 30 trucks every working day, the services include picking, storage, shipping and processing of returns, as well as the more employee-intensive area of light production and value-added services.

"We are particularly pleased that WISAG has once again chosen Aconlog. With the successful direct letting in Viersen via our own network, we can further expand the existing partnership. We would like to thank all those involved in the project for this precision landing," commented Oliver Blüher, Managing Director of Aconlog Projektentwicklung GmbH.

"Aconlog's property in Viersen is an ideal size and offers us the opportunity to store lithium-ion batteries at an important location for us. At the same time, the strategic proximity to our other active properties in Schwalmtal and Mönchengladbach and to the main import port of our Chinese customers Rotterdam is guaranteed," comments Michael Lederer, Managing Director of WISAG Logistics Solutions Nord-West GmbH & Co. KG. "The CO² neutrality of the site through modern sustainable technologies should also be emphasized. This contributes one hundred percent to WISAG's sustainability strategy."

Aconlog built the multi-tenant property on a brownfield site of around 30,600 m² at Industriering 21–23. Thanks to a heat pump system and a photovoltaic system with an output of 1,400 kVA, it is heated fossil-free. Employees and guests can enjoy the use of e-charging stations for cars and bicycles. Aconlog is aiming for certification in the DGNB Gold Standard for the property.
