Australian ginger beer, Fiji Water and Vita Coconut Water: The Jebsen Group relies on Gebrüder Weiss' logistics expertise for nationwide beverage distribution.

Shanghai / Lauterach, 17 July 2025. The international transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss is supporting the dynamic growth of the Jebsen Group's beverage business line in China with professional warehousing and distribution solutions. The Jebsen Group is a long-established trading company headquartered in Hong Kong that brings international premium brands to Greater China and markets them there. The brands transported include renowned products such as Bundaberg Ginger Beer, Fiji Water and Vita Coconut Water, which are delivered from Shanghai to supermarkets, wholesalers and online platforms nationwide.

‘Thanks to the modern supply chain structure and the high level of professionalism of the Gebrüder Weiss team, we have been able to significantly expand our market position,’ explains Gary Chan, Head of Supply Chain, Beverage at Jebsen. Recipients include Hema – the Alibaba Group's supermarket chain – as well as Jingdong (JD.com) and many other retailers and wholesalers throughout China.

The foundation for the collaboration was laid in 2017, when Gebrüder Weiss supported Sanyi Wine Trading in its market entry of the Australian brand Bundaberg with a warehousing solution. Following the acquisition of Sanyi by the Jebsen Group in 2022, the focus shifted to the premium beverage market in Greater China. Since then, the partnership with Gebrüder Weiss has developed into a comprehensive logistics solution with over 2,700 orders processed per year – and the trend is rising.

Specialised staff ensure smooth operations at the 4,000 m² logistics terminal in Shanghai. The warehouse was recently certified for its high security requirements (Level 3). Services include temperature- and humidity-controlled storage, direct order processing (first-in, first-out principle), expiry date monitoring, labelling and packaging, and inventory control.

‘The Chinese beverage market is fast-moving and demanding. Our goal is to work with the Jebsen team to develop tailor-made solutions and respond flexibly to changes,’ says Yongquan Chen, General Manager of Gebrüder Weiss in China. In the future, Gebrüder Weiss and the Jebsen Group intend to further intensify their successful cooperation and expand their beverage offering.

Gebrüder Weiss has many years of experience in beverage logistics in China and, in addition to its location in Shanghai, also operates another logistics warehouse in Chengdu. There, the company supports leading baijiu brands – China's most famous and best-selling spirit – with tailor-made e-commerce and fulfilment solutions.
