Panattoni Park Magdeburg West II wins Finsterwalder as new tenant
Leasing success in Saxony-Anhalt: Panattoni has leased around 10,000 m² of logistics space in Panattoni Park Magdeburg West II to Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik GmbH. The areas have already been handed over and are in use. Panattoni has thus achieved remarkable success in a challenging market environment and underlines the strength of Central Germany as a business location.

With the lease to Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik GmbH, Panattoni is celebrating an important milestone in Panattoni Park Magdeburg West II. The majority of the 10,000 m² space will be used to implement a significant e-commerce order for an important existing customer. In addition, Finsterwalder will provide comprehensive warehousing and distribution services for well-known customers from the industrial goods and food sectors at the new location over the next seven years. The logistics service provider has been active in eastern Germany for over 30 years and operates locations in Halle (Saale) and Schkopau, among other places. With the expansion that has now taken place, the company, which operates throughout Europe, is strengthening its logistics capacities and at the same time further consolidating its position in the future-oriented Central German region. The settlement of Finsterwalder will create around 50 new jobs to be filled in various functional areas.
"We are very pleased to have gained an experienced and established partner in Finsterwalder. The leasing success confirms the need for high-quality and flexible logistics solutions in the region," says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Germany and Austria. "With Panattoni Park Magdeburg West II, we are not only closing a local supply gap, but also sending a powerful signal for sustainable and future-oriented real estate development in the greater Magdeburg area."
Modern space with high third-party usability
The property offers a total of around 28,900 m² of hall space as well as 1,300 m² of office space and 2,000 m² of mezzanine space. The two units with a total of approx. 18,700 m², which are still available immediately, can be divided from around 8,600 m² and are therefore predestined for companies from the logistics, production, automotive and e-commerce sectors. Furthermore, the location in the municipality of Hohe Börde is centrally located in the heart of Central Germany and is only 2.5 kilometers from the A2 and about seven kilometers from the A2/A14 motorway junction. This is the ideal location for companies that depend on efficient transport connections.
"For us, the new location in Magdeburg West II is a logical step towards expanding our capacities in the e-commerce sector. The location offers the best conditions for fast response times, which are crucial for our customers," says Sven Köcke, spokesman for the Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik GmbH group of companies. "The property meets all the requirements for modern and efficient logistics use, including ESG-relevant aspects, which are becoming increasingly important for us."
Future-proof through ESG measures
As with all project developments, Panattoni attaches great importance to sustainability and user-friendliness in Magdeburg West II. In autumn 2025, for example, a powerful photovoltaic system with a capacity of 3.2 MWp will be put into operation on the roof surfaces – enough to supply several hundred households with green electricity. Other measures such as soundproofing solutions for the surrounding buildings, well-being areas for employees and a wildflower meadow on the outdoor area also contribute to the ESG quality of the site. The park also meets the highest standards in terms of safety and technology. The hall is fully equipped with a WGK-III film that meets the strict requirements regarding the storage of water-polluting substances.
The exclusive marketing of the remaining space is carried out by the real estate consulting firm JLL.
