Long-term partnership ensures reliable transport solutions for the Austrian Handball Federation.

Vienna, May 15, 2025 - Austria's men's handball team secured their place at the European Championships in Scandinavia in early 2026 by winning their final qualifying match in May. Gebrüder Weiss supported the national team as the official logistics partner of the Austrian Handball Federation (ÖHB) throughout the EURO qualifiers and ensured smooth processes at the venues in Austria. “We share the ÖHB's delight at this sporting success and are keeping our fingers crossed for a successful EURO 2026,” says Karl Meiringer, Branch Manager at Gebrüder Weiss in Vienna.
 
As part of a long-term partnership, Gebrüder Weiss is taking over the transport and warehouse logistics for the ÖHB. Match and training equipment such as goals, boards and hall floors are stored at the Vienna site and are transported as required to all national matches and tournaments at which the ÖHB is represented. Short-notice assignments and transportation at unusual times are also part of the service. “We not only have the necessary experience, but also the right infrastructure - from a modern fleet of vehicles to optimal storage facilities - to flexibly adapt processes to the ÖHB's wishes.
