Fiege expands healthcare site in Münster

Fiege is building another logistics centre in the Münster-Hessenweg industrial park. In the immediate vicinity of the existing healthcare site, a modern single-user center with over 10,000 square meters of logistics space is being built. The new building developed by Fiege Real Estate is designed to meet the special requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and relies on energy-efficient building technology.

Münster/Greven, 12 August 2026 — The logistics service provider Fiege is expanding its capacities at its Münster-Hessenweg site. A state-of-the-art property is being built on a directly adjacent plot of land next to Fiege's existing healthcare logistics centre in close coordination with a potential customer from the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to the convenient transport connections, the proximity to pharmaceutical production sites and the supply of skilled workers in the region speak in favor of the expansion. Construction is scheduled to start in August 2026.

The property is being developed by Fiege Real Estate. The building comprises around 9,800 square metres of logistics space, more than 1,000 square metres of mezzanine space and a 430-square-metre office area. LED lighting and an air-to-air heat pump ensure energy-efficient operation. In addition, there will be a charging infrastructure with a capacity of 200 kilowatts for electric trucks and a PV system with an output of around 1,000 kilowatt peak on the roof, which will generate a significant part of the electricity demand directly on site. The technical infrastructure is also designed in such a way that it can be expanded in the future as needed.

Completion is scheduled for June 2027. Jens Fiege, Co-CEO of the Fiege Group, who runs the more than 150-year-old family business together with his cousin Felix Fiege, explains: "We have been based at the Münster-Hessenweg site for many years, where we handle logistics for numerous companies in the healthcare sector. We are pleased to be able to build another state-of-the-art property here and expand our capacities. The successful development of our existing branch shows the potential and performance of the Münster location. With the additional logistics center, we are now creating the conditions to support our customers in the healthcare sector even more flexibly and to enable further growth."
