REALOGIS concludes long-term lease agreement for 10,000 m² of usable space near Osnabrücker Kreuz motorway junction

Georgsmarienhütte, 21 June 2023 - Moguntia Food GmbH, a family-owned company founded in Mainz am Rhein in 1903, has signed a long-term lease in Georgsmarienhütte on the advice of Realogis. The food producer is now opening a new chapter in its corporate strategy and is building a new Customer Delivery Centre (CDC) near the Osnabrück motorway junction.

According to Germany's leading consultancy firm for industrial and logistics properties and commercial properties, the Moguntia Food Group will have over 10,000 m² of space available for the storage and production of butchery supplies and food-related products from mid-2023. The solitary building, which was previously used for food packaging production, is located at Raiffeisenstrasse 31-33 and offers 8,360.51 m² of warehouse space and 1,703.28 m² of office space.

The lease was concluded for 10 years with two renewal options.

"The property will be upgraded in the coming years, including a sprinkler system, modern windows and a new facade coating. Floor repairs will also be carried out in the hall," reports Marius Paulig, Head of the Northern Germany department at Realogis Immobilien Deutschland GmbH.

The opening of the new Customer Delivery Center (CDC) with an optimised layout and increased capacity is primarily due to the considerable growth that Moguntia Food has experienced. The CDC is located in the immediate vicinity of the Georgsmarienhütte production site and therefore offers the opportunity to respond even more quickly to the growing needs of customers.

The new centre covers a generous area of 10,000 m² and offers space for 4,000 to 6,000 pallets with its expandable high-bay warehouse. The new centre also has five loading ramps to ensure smooth delivery and collection.

The spacious office areas attached to the CDC offer sufficient space for employees and support a productive working environment. There is also the option to expand the warehouse to allow for further growth. The large warehouses have sustainable natural lighting and are optimised for material flow to enable fast and efficient order picking.

The Georgsmarienhütte logistics location is characterised by its good transport connections by road and air. The slip road to the A33 Harderberg motorway is approx. 2 minutes' drive away, the A30 Osnabrück Nahne motorway can be reached in approx. 4 minutes and the Lotte/Osnabrück junction is approx. 10 minutes' drive away. Osnabrück main station is a 14-minute drive away by public transport, and the Harderberg-Raiffeisenstraße bus stop is just 210 metres from the new logistics site.
