Fiege takes over logistics for Oace
The Fiege Group is Oace's new logistics partner. Since the beginning of October, the Greven-based family business has been managing the warehouse and distribution logistics for the successful Cologne-based fitnesswear brand from its logistics centre in Burgwedel near Hanover.
Greven/Burgwedel, 27th November 2024 - Fiege has been handling the B2C logistics for the community brand Oace since the beginning of October. At its logistics centre in Burgwedel, the logistics service provider is targeting an annual throughput of up to two million items for the young fitnesswear brand on an area of around 5,000 square metres.
"We are very pleased about Oace's trust", says Niels Weithe, Managing Director of Fiege's Fashion & Lifestyle business unit. "Oace has grown strongly since its foundation in 2019 - and we believe that we can successfully support the team in making the brand even bigger in the coming years. With regard to Oace's logistics, our location in Burgwedel definitely offers the perfect conditions for further growth."
The start of the cooperation between Oace and Fiege was like a lightning start. There were only two weeks between signing the contract at the end of September and the first goods dispatch at the beginning of October. Within three days, a good 500,000 Oace items were transferred to the Fiege location in Burgwedel. At the same time, an IT set-up was implemented and connected to the e-commerce software Shopify.
Alexander Glörfeld, CEO of Oace, says: "We were faced with the challenge of having to find and onboard a new logistics service provider at very short notice. The period of just two weeks between signing the contract and the start of fulfilment is a task that is almost impossible to manage given our business volume. Many thanks to Fiege for making the relocation of our logistics so quick and uncomplicated. We look forward to working together and are convinced that in Fiege we have found a partner who will help us to continue our strong growth trajectory in the coming years."
