WHEELS Logistics opens new warehouse location in Magdeburg - Handling 1.1 million beverage cans per day / Establishment in the new Magdeburg/Sülzetal industrial estate

Magdeburg/Münster - WHEELS Logistics is strengthening its Magdeburg site: the logistics service provider has opened a new warehouse in the Magdeburg/Sülzetal industrial estate. The company handles 1.1 million beverage cans here every day.

"The new location offers us significantly better conditions than was previously the case," says Sven Patrias, Managing Director of WHEELS Logistics GmbH & Co. The company, which has its headquarters in Münster, has been represented in Magdeburg since 2019. However, the conditions in the old warehouse no longer met the logistics service provider's increased requirements.

In its search for a new location, WHEELS Logistics found what it was looking for in the new Magdeburg/Sülzetal industrial estate. The company now has 5,200 square metres of storage space, where the pallets of beverage cans can be stacked four high - and not twice as high as before. The throughput is 1.1 million beverage cans or 175 pallets a day.

Good location was the deciding factor

"We have ideal conditions here in the Magdeburg/Sülzetal industrial estate, such as the excellent connection to the A14 motorway," continues Sven Patrias. A customer from the beverage industry has a production site in the immediate vicinity. At the same time, destinations in Eastern Europe in particular are very easy to reach from Magdeburg.
