Prologis leases logistics property in Gernsheim to Dealer Tire Europe GmbH

Prologis has signed a lease agreement with Dealer Tire Europe GmbH, a service partner for automotive manufacturers and their tyre and spare parts dealer networks, for a logistics property with a total of 25,319 square metres in Gernsheim am Rhein. The contract, which has a term of at least 72 months, comprises a main area of 15,409 square metres and an extension of 9,910 square metres. Construction of the extension is scheduled to begin in February 2024.

Dealer Tire Europe GmbH will use the existing main area after successful modernisation in June 2024 and the extension after completion in February 2025. With the refurbishment and expansion of the logistics property, Prologis will implement the highest quality requirements and state-of-the-art sustainability standards.

Sustainability will also play a central role in the development of the extension. The building will be heated with a heat pump and there is the option of installing a solar system on the roof. In addition, the outdoor facilities will be equipped with electric charging stations for cars and bicycles. Prologis is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for the property.

Entry into the European market

With the logistics property near Frankfurt, Prologis is supporting Dealer Tire Europe GmbH in its entry into the European market and offering a promising location with state-of-the-art standards. In the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt Airport, the cargo port and the A5 and A67 motorways, the project is an ideal location.
