pfenning Group takes over fulfilment expert H.E.L.P. - Acquisition strengthens co-packing and sales promotion expertise for consumer goods

The pfenning Group is expanding its service portfolio with the strategic acquisition of H.E.L.P. GmbH. The merger, which includes a 100% stake, was completed on 19 July 2023. The pfenning Group has thus secured greater expertise in the optimisation of retail goods for the point of sale.

The contract logistics specialist pfenning is diversifying its services through a strategic acquisition and expanding them to new target sectors. The merger with H.E.L.P. GmbH from Hünfeld in the district of Fulda took place on 19 July 2023. The fulfilment expert specialises in the core areas of co-packing, product finishing and sales promotion and employs around 200 people in total. Founded in 1999, the company optimises the value chain of the consumer goods and retail industry with its specialised services and will continue to develop the existing business areas with and for the pfenning Group.

"By integrating H.E.L.P. GmbH into our group of companies, we are pooling our expertise in sales promotion for retailers and their suppliers, the consumer goods manufacturers. This also applies to the business for our customer Nestlé Germany, which has been working successfully with the H.E.L.P. team since 2005. In September, the company will be nominated for the fourth time by Nestlé Deutschland AG for the Supplier Award for outstanding supplier performance among the ten best," says Rana Matthias Nag, Managing Director of the pfenning Group.

The founder and previous owner Thomas Seiler decided to sell the company to the pfenning Group for personal reasons and will remain active as Key Account Manager in the future. As part of the merger, his long-standing core team has been appointed to the management board. In future, Pamela Hohmann will act as Commercial Managing Director and Sascha Nüchter will take over operational management.

On its growth path, the pfenning Group has already acquired six more companies since 2021, strengthening its service portfolio in the areas of e-commerce & fulfilment, mobility solutions, fresh produce logistics, personnel services, general cargo transport and private customer logistics.

The pfenning Group now employs 6,900 people in Europe.
