Panattoni hands over fully let Panattoni Park to UBS property fund

Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, announces the handover of its Panattoni Park in Bensheim to UBS (D) Euroinvest Immobilien, a pan-European open-ended mutual fund for private investors with a focus on core properties in European metropolises and high-growth regions. It is managed by UBS Real Estate GmbH in Munich.

Panattoni Park, which was completed in the first quarter of 2023, was officially opened on 12 May and is fully let to MSK Pharmalogistic GmbH. The family-run pharmaceutical full-service provider from Heppenheim in the Rhine-Main-Neckar metropolitan region offers its customers services in the various business areas of the pharmaceutical industry. The company plans to use the new site as a GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified logistics centre for the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals and medical products.

The multifunctional property has a total usable area of approx. 10,600 m², with a height of 10 m UKB. This includes approx. 9,300 m² of halls, 570 m² of office and social areas and 510 m² of mezzanine space. In the outdoor areas, space was created for 40 cars, 46 bicycles and two lorries. The property is located in an existing industrial estate and has an attractive macro-location in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. For the new industrial and logistics space, Panattoni revitalised a brownfield site of around 30,000 m², which had previously been used as a paper and goods warehouse.

The sustainably developed Panattoni Park has been certified to DGNB gold standard. To this end, Panattoni is implementing various sustainability measures, including the installation of a photovoltaic system (PV) for low-emission energy supply and extensive green roofs on the sprinkler centre to bind greenhouse gases. A large number of e-charging points for cars are intended to take account of the mobility transition. In addition to the use of rainwater to irrigate the plants, nesting boxes for the niche breeders house sparrow and black redstart as well as roosts for bats were also installed as part of species protection measures.
