Next-level e-commerce: Fiege combines software and services in a modular e-commerce solution
Fiege is strengthening its digital service offering for eCommerce customers with the new "Fiege E-Commerce Suite". The logistics service provider enables online retailers to seamlessly scale their own D2C business with modular, integrated and AI-based solutions along the entire value chain.
Greven, 10th September 2024 - The Fiege Group is expanding its digital service portfolio and combining its eCommerce products in the new "Fiege E-Commerce Suite". By networking the individual products and services, Fiege is creating an integrated solution that combines software and services. This gives online retailers the opportunity to map all processes from ordering to parcel delivery to returns processing transparently, flexibly, cost-efficiently and from a single source.
Felix Hettlage, Managing Director of Fiege's Digital business unit, who heads the division together with Boris Scholz, explains: "Successful eCommerce business is becoming increasingly complex and requires more than just individual solutions. It requires a seamless interplay of digital services, logistics infrastructure and the service itself. The big challenge is to create the best possible processes along the entire customer journey. And that is exactly what we offer: a holistic solution that nevertheless consists of modular and flexible services and combines software and services in our e-commerce suite - this is how we make e-commerce many times easier."
The products that the 150-year-old family business provides for e-commerce customers range from marketplace solutions, omnichannel and stock management, fulfilment and parcel shipping to financial services, carrier claims management and customer service. Boris Scholz says: "Our aim is to be the best partner for companies that want to strategically develop and expand their e-commerce business. For manufacturers and brands that have been selling via B2B sales structures up to now or want to enter the European market, we offer a customised solution for their own online business because we combine the necessary software services and e-commerce services." Fiege can thus help to optimise processes at every step along the value chain, explains Scholz: "Our advantage is our decades of experience in eCommerce. We developed the ability to quickly recognise and adapt to digital trends early on. And we understand the individual needs of our customers - especially when it comes to setting up functioning sales channels for direct sales."
Two years ago, Fiege established its digital division as a separate and independent business unit alongside Contract Logistics, Real Estate and Ventures. Now comes the next step. Felix Hettlage says: "On the one hand, we are bundling our expertise, our resources and our products in our e-commerce suite. Above all, however, we enable our customers to take their existing e-commerce set-up to the next level in order to meet the increasing demands along the entire e-commerce value chain as well as the growing expectations of end customers."
