Militzer & Münch invests in Indonesia

St. Gallen, 28 May 2024 - The logistics company Militzer & Münch continues its strategic growth strategy in Asia and Oceania: Since March 2024, Militzer & Münch has been a shareholder in an international logistics service provider in Indonesia. Since 1 May 2024, the company has been operating under the name PT. Militzer and Muench Indonesia.

Today's Militzer & Münch Indonesia previously belonged to a well-known logistics group and had acted as its branch in Indonesia since 2005. The new PT. Militzer and Muench Indonesia now operates with a dedicated team of 72 full-time and 20 external employees at its headquarters in Jakarta. More than 6,000 square metres of warehouse space are connected to it. The company also has an office at Jakarta International Airport (CGK) with a bonded warehouse (TPS) and branch offices in Surabaya and Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The future capital of Indonesia, Nusantara, is located in the immediate vicinity of Balikpapan.

PT. Militzer and Muench Indonesia offers a comprehensive range of services, including air and sea freight forwarding, inland transport, warehousing, project logistics and customs clearance. The team specialises in the healthcare, chemical, automotive, aerospace and time-sensitive sectors. A dedicated Trade Lane Development Team with experts for the Korean and Japanese markets as well as for key account management supports the global activities.

Growth market with a future

Militzer & Münch is growing systematically in promising markets: Most recently, the national companies New Zealand (2022) and Vietnam (2023) were launched in the Asia / Far East / Oceania region. Malaysia and Sri Lanka have long been part of the company's own network. Militzer & Münch has been active on the Chinese market since 1981. Indonesia also offers great potential for further growth.
