ID Logistics: Accelerated growth in 4th quarter, double-digit sales growth in 2023

ID Logistics (ISIN: FR0010929125, ticker: IDL), one of the leading contract logistics companies in Europe, today published its sales figures for the fourth quarter of 2023.

ACCELERATED SALES GROWTH IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF 2023: +14.5 % (+11.9 % ON A COMPARABLE BASIS)

ID Logistics recorded sales of EUR 776.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2023, an increase of 14.5 %. This includes the sales of Spedimex, a company that was acquired in Poland and has been consolidated since 1 June 2023. Adjusted for the effect of the change in the scope of consolidation and a generally unfavourable exchange rate effect in the past quarter, growth on a comparative basis was 11.9% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022. The following developments in the past quarter are particularly noteworthy:

• Very strong sales momentum in the US, with further accelerated growth to 34.1% on a like-for-like basis;
• Quarterly sales growth in Europe (excluding France) of 10.5% on a comparable basis, driven in particular by Poland, Italy and the opening in the UK
• Lower sales in France (Q4 with a decline of 5.9% year-on-year), in line with previous quarters, characterised by weak consumption and the postponement of some new site openings until 2024.

Accordingly, ID Logistics ended 2023 with sales of EUR 2,747.4 million, an increase of 10.7 % or 7.2 % on a comparable basis. ID Logistics launched 22 new projects in the past year.

NEW CONCLUSIONS

ID Logistics again took part in numerous tenders in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Examples of new contracts that the Group has won or started:

• In France, AB Inbev entrusted ID Logistics with the operation of two logistics sites, covering 32,000 m² and 60,000 m² respectively, to optimise distribution flows for its large retail networks as well as for its cafés, hotels and restaurants.
• In Italy, ID Logistics was commissioned by the leading French retailer Carrefour to manage a 42,000 m² site for food products south of Milan. Almost a year after the opening of this ID Logistics subsidiary, this new establishment confirms the business synergies with the Group's long-standing customers.
• In the USA, ID Logistics continues to apply its expertise to FMCG producers. The Group has started working for a leading manufacturer of consumer cleaning products at a site in the Chicago area. ID Logistics has also been selected by an American multinational company specialising in beverages and snacks to provide logistics and co-packing services at two sites in the Atlanta region with a total area of 118,000 m².

OUTLOOK

In 2024, ID Logistics will continue to support leading global companies in organising and optimising their supply chains, particularly in the retail, e-commerce, fashion, consumer goods and luxury goods sectors. The development of the businesses in the US and Poland, which are the result of the investments made over the last two years, and the recent openings in Italy and the UK confirm the importance of this strategy.
