Finsterwalder Group starts construction of a logistics centre in Türkheim / Bad Wörishofen

Bad Wörishofen, 20 March 2024 - The Finsterwalder Group has started construction of a state-of-the-art logistics facility in Bad Wörishofen. Construction started in January of this year.

The new logistics centre, which will be occupied from December 2024, marks a significant milestone in the expansion of the company and its presence in southern Germany.

The logistics centre is conveniently located on the Munich - Lake Constance axis (A96), close to the metropolises of Munich and Augsburg, and offers first-class infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of customers.

With a total area of 20,000 square metres, the building meets all current requirements in the areas of storage, distribution and extended value creation.

More than 35,000 Euro pallet spaces as well as VAS areas, picking and packing stations and modern offices are available.

The logistics centre in Bad Wörishofen will be built in accordance with the latest energy standards and will be equipped with an energy-efficient heating system using a heat pump and a rooftop PV system with a peak output of around 2.0 megawatts (MWp).

A charging infrastructure for cars and e-trucks will be created and a large parking area for lorry trailers is planned.
