Ceremonial handover of keys to Tyremotive at Kitzingen Industrial Park - Scannell hands over 23,500 m² logistics property to tyre and wheel wholesaler
Scannell Properties, a privately owned property development and investment company specialising in the development of large-scale industrial and logistics facilities, has welcomed its new tenant Tyremotive to its Kitzingen Industrial Park in Bavaria. The modern 23,500 m² warehouse has now been officially handed over to the wheel and tyre wholesaler.
Kitzingen, 12 October 2023
Tyremotive, a company specialising in the distribution of tyres and wheels, celebrated the official move into its new, state-of-the-art warehouse in Kitzingen Industrial Park last Monday. Representatives of the town of Kitzingen, such as Deputy District Administrator Doris Paul and Mayor Stefan Güntner, as well as partner companies of property developer Scannell Properties and its Managing Director DACH and Benelux, Jordan Corynen, were among the guests at the ceremonial handover of the keys. He was also the one who handed over the symbolic key for their new warehouse to the managing directors Henny Butter and Christian Leibold of the international wheel and tyre wholesaler Tyremotive.
It is strategically located: between the two important economic centres of Frankfurt and Nuremberg, the Kitzingen Industrial Park is directly connected to the A3 and A7 motorways. When developing its projects, Scannell Properties endeavours to offer its tenants flexible, modern and sustainable logistics space. The new warehouse in Kitzingen also features the sustainable building concept developed by Scannell Properties. In addition to charging stations for electric vehicles, this includes an innovative local heating system with significantly lower primary energy requirements, using wood chips as a renewable raw material; a photovoltaic system on the roof; grey water and rainwater harvesting systems and LED lighting throughout the building.
The new logistics property marks Scannell's eleventh project in Germany. Due to the many positive aspects, it was not difficult to let the new warehouse: Tyremotive signed the lease for the hall back in June.
Kitzingen's mayor Stefan Güntner is delighted about the growth in the region: "The establishment of internationally active companies such as Tyremotive will boost economic growth in the region and if this is also linked to the construction of such modern new buildings, this is an absolute gain for Kitzingen". He and around 30 other guests attended the handover ceremony and were given an exclusive tour of the new warehouses by Gazmend Misimi (Project Manager Scannell) and Christian Leibold (Tyremotive Management). "Today is another milestone for Tyremotive. With the move into this new, state-of-the-art warehouse, the expansion of our product range will not be a problem. We have the latest automated technology here, which will enable us to guarantee same-day delivery," says Leibold.
Jordan Corynen from Scannell Properties comments: "We are delighted to be able to hand over the new warehouse to Tyremotive. The size of the building means that nothing stands in the way of the company's expansion plans. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the town of Kitzingen in particular for the trusting cooperation. I would also like to thank our partners Colliers Germany, who represented us in the letting process, and GOLDBECK, who realised the construction!"
Another speculative property developed by Scannell with an area of 6,000 m² is currently still available for letting in the Kitzingen Industrial Park.
