Another Panattoni Park to be built between Cologne and Bonn

In Bornheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Panattoni will realise a new project without pre-letting. The new Panattoni Park Bonn Nord is being built to high sustainability standards and has excellent connections to the cities of Cologne and Bonn and the Rhine region via the A555 motorway.

Panattoni, a leading developer of industrial and logistics properties in Europe, will realise the new building on an area of around 42,700 m² in the new Bornheim-Hersel industrial estate. The site of a former gravel pit has been filled in and is now being put to a new use. The site is located directly on the "Bornheim" motorway access road on the A555, which has a direct link to the A4 and A565. The city centres of Cologne and Bonn can be reached in 30 and 20 minutes respectively.

With this industrial and logistics property, Panattoni is developing sustainable space for a broad mix of users. Once completed, the property will have a total lettable area of around 26,000 m² with 1,800 m² of office and social space and 1,900 m² of mezzanine space spread across four units. These can be flexibly divided and each offer between 3,000 and 6,000 m² of space. This makes them suitable for various commercial uses.

As part of the development, Panattoni is aiming for certification in accordance with the DGNB gold standard and is implementing extensive sustainability measures. For example, a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof and rainwater will be collected for further use. Furthermore, a green roof is planned for the sprinkler centre as well as for the bicycle and smoking shelters. Last but not least, the developer is focussing on the design of the outdoor areas, including appropriate planting and attractive leisure areas for employees.

Construction work will start in the fourth quarter of 2023, with completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
