Anchor tenant for Aconlog Park Greven - The joint venture between bauwo and Aconlog concludes a 10-year lease agreement with WM GROUP for 46,500 square metres of new-build space

Cologne / Greven, 4 April 2023 - Nine months before completion of the new "Aconlog Park Greven", the joint venture Aconlog Projektentwicklung GmbH and bauwo Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH has secured an anchor tenant for the largest unit and signed a 10-year lease. WM GROUP GmbH from Bocholt is the tenant of the four of a total of seven hall sections at Reckenfelder Strasse 60, each with 10,000 square metres.

The logistics service provider is consolidating existing customer business in Greven and expanding it with new business. The handover of the 46,500 square metres of sustainably constructed new build space, built to DGNB Gold Standard, is planned for the turn of the year 2023/2024. WM GROUP GmbH plans to employ around 80 people at the site at the start.

"Our foresight and courage to build speculatively have been rewarded. We are delighted that WM GROUP has signed a long-term lease. This shows that our state-of-the-art logistics facility at this strategic transport location is precisely the property product that retailers, manufacturers and their logistics providers need for their further development," commented Bernhard Rückert, Managing Partner of bauwo Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH.

The immediate proximity to the A1 motorway and the CEP service provider hub are decisive factors for our users, in addition to the quality of the property, a height of 12.10 UKB and modern heat pump technology in conjunction with a photovoltaic system," explains Oliver Blüher, Managing Partner of Aconlog Projektentwicklung GmbH. Aconlog and bauwo are already in advanced talks with potential users regarding the remaining 30,000 square metres of space.

The estate agents Robert C. Spies and BNP advised Aconlog and bauwo on the conclusion of the lease. Brockhoff estate agents from Essen acted on behalf of WM GROUP.

The development of Aconlog Park Greven is the second joint project between Aconlog and bauwo and the largest in Aconlog's company history. "In addition to our involvement in Alsdorf on the eastern edge of our home market of North Rhine-Westphalia, Aconlog has made a conscious decision to invest in Greven in the north of North Rhine-Westphalia," says Oliver Blüher.
