Win-win situation for exhibitors and trade visitors
The industry get-together in Stuttgart will occupy seven of the eight exhibition halls for the first time. Exhibitors and an informative supporting programme will focus on solutions for the current challenges of Industry 4.0, resource efficiency, integration and flexibility. TradeWorld, the trade fair for modern trade processes, will be included for the second time. It covers the area of e-commerce in particular and acts as a link between retail and intralogistics with its exhibitor and information offerings.
What are the current trends in intralogistics? What product innovations, solutions and recommendations do its industry segments offer? How is the retail sector adapting to the logistical challenges between procurement, e-commerce and the point of sale? The answers will be provided by the exhibitors and speakers at the specialist forums at LogiMAT 2015 and the associated trade fair for modern retail processes, TradeWorld, in Stuttgart from 10 to 12 February 2015.
For the thirteenth time, the intralogistics industry will make the International Trade Fair for Distribution, Material Handling and Information Flow at the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre the industry event of the year. Under the trade fair motto "Mastering complexity - shaping the future intelligently", more than 1,100 international exhibitors (+ 10 percent) from over 28 countries will present their latest solutions for greater efficiency in intralogistics process chains on 85,000 square metres of exhibition space (+ 13 percent). "As the largest annual intralogistics trade fair in Europe and the first industry get-together of the year, LogiMAT 2015 will once again act as a trend barometer for the state of the industry and its innovative strength," emphasises Exhibition Director Peter Kazander. "LogiMAT is not just a showcase for the major market leaders. The majority of exhibitors come from innovative medium-sized companies. At the same time, LogiMAT attracts trade visitors from this investment-orientated economic segment. LogiMAT thus offers trade fair visitors a complete overview of the solutions offered by the entire industry. A classic win-win situation for exhibitors and trade visitors."
In fact, according to the trade fair management's assessment to date, the majority of international trade visitors to LogiMAT come from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), two thirds of whom are decision-makers and co-decision-makers - a large number with concrete investment plans. "These facts underline the great importance that LogiMAT has for both exhibitors and visitors as an industry platform and working trade fair for the intralogistics sector, which is largely dominated by SMEs."
LogiMAT 2015 is relying on tried-and-tested formats in terms of content and organisation: in addition to the showcase at the exhibitors' stands, the international trade fair will also offer a top-class, informative supporting programme at congress level in 2015. In addition to daily live events and a series of presentations by exhibitors, more than 100 expert speakers from business, science and international trade media will discuss the industry's trending topics in six forum areas in the exhibition halls over the three days of the trade fair. The one-and-a-half hour sequences of the 25 specialist forums will deal with topics such as "Packaging logistics", "Approaches to dealing with complexity in production & logistics" and "AutoID foundations for the future concept of Industry 4.0".

Industry 4.0, resource efficiency, integration and flexibility will be key topics at LogiMAT 2015. Added to this are the requirements for the logistics of multi-channel retail, which continues to be characterised by the enormous growth of e-commerce. LogiMAT 2015 reflects the different weighting of these topics in the solutions offered by the respective industry segments with the clearly structured hall layout, which for the first time also occupies Hall 7 of the North Wing and thus seven of the eight halls at the Stuttgart exhibition centre. "Despite the additional hall, LogiMAT remains the intralogistics trade fair with short distances thanks to the structural situation of the Stuttgart exhibition centre with four interlinking exhibition halls in two connected wings," states Kazander. "On the one hand, the clearly structured hall layout according to industry segments provides trade visitors with special interests with direct contact points; on the other hand, LogiMAT as a whole offers a uniquely compact overview of the current range of products and services in the heterogeneous intralogistics industry."

LogiMAT 2015 thus concentrates exhibitors from the key segment of machinery and plant engineering in intralogistics in Halls 1, 3 and 5. Hall and racking construction, conveyor and storage technology, operating equipment as well as general contractors and system providers will present their latest product developments for dynamic, partially and fully automated material flow solutions. LogiMAT 2015 is responding to the growing importance of integrated software systems for resource-efficient process control with a significantly expanded exhibition area for IT system providers. In Halls 5 and 7, they will cover the entire spectrum of software tasks for efficient warehouse and transport management, process simulation and optimisation as well as the new potential offered by the future-oriented Industry 4.0 project with presentations of their latest program versions.
The opposite halls of the south wing concentrate the suppliers of labelling, identification and packaging technology (Hall 4) and, with the presence of all well-known forklift manufacturers in Halls 6 and 8, provide a complete overview of the latest developments in the areas of industrial trucks, automated and driverless transport systems and shuttle technology as well as handling and crane systems.
Last but not least: TradeWorld. As an additional crowd-puller, the trade fair for modern retail processes in the centre of Hall 5, in the direct vicinity of the materials handling technology and software providers, will demonstrate the extent to which retail processes and intralogistics interlock and control each other. With their solutions for warehousing and shipping, including dark house and last mile issues, as well as efficient returns processing, the exhibiting service providers and suppliers form the link between retail and intralogistics. LogiMAT and TradeWorld, which will be integrated into LogiMAT for the second time in 2015, thus offer attractive added value for trade visitors to both trade fairs.
"The visitors determine the importance of a trade fair," summarises Kazander. "With its comprehensive range of exhibitors, the informative supporting programme and the integrated TradeWorld, LogiMAT 2015 is a must for trade visitors who want to stay up to date. I therefore expect a further increase in popularity."
