Gebrüder Weiss receives gold in international sustainability rating

Logistics company achieves 85 out of 100 points in EcoVadis rating / Maximum rating for environmental performance / Company is among the top five percent worldwide

Lauterach, September 22, 2026 – Gebrüder Weiss has been awarded the gold medal for the first time in the sustainability rating of EcoVadis, one of the world's leading providers of sustainability assessments for companies. With 85 out of 100 points, the international transport and logistics service provider is among the top five percent of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis in the past twelve months. Gebrüder Weiss performed particularly well in the area of the environment. Here, the company achieved the highest score of 100 out of 100 points.

The areas of labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement are also evaluated. In 2024, Gebrüder Weiss had still achieved silver status in the rating.

"The gold award from EcoVadis confirms our consistent path. Sustainability is not an isolated project for Gebrüder Weiss, but part of our corporate responsibility and our performance promise to customers. The fact that we are among the top five percent of all companies rated worldwide is an important recognition of our achievements to date and at the same time an incentive to continue to improve," says Wolfram Senger-Weiss, Chairman of the Executive Board at Gebrüder Weiss.

The most important measures taken in recent years include investments in climate-friendly transport solutions and renewable energies. These include the expansion of the electric truck fleet, including charging infrastructure, photovoltaic systems at logistics sites and the operation of its own wind farm. In addition, Gebrüder Weiss relies on standardized management systems for occupational safety and compliance throughout the Group. Since 2024, Group-wide CO₂ balancing has covered more than 95 percent of the company and also takes into account the emissions of transport companies that drive on behalf of Gebrüder Weiss.
