Prologis entwickelt 36.000 Quadratmeter spekulativ im Trade Port North Venlo



AMSTERDAM / VENLO (28. August 2014) – Prologis, Inc., weltweiter Marktführer in der Industrieimmobilien-Branche, entwickelt eine Logistikimmobilie über 36.000 Quadratmeter im Prologis Park Venlo im Trade Port North (TPN) in den Niederlanden.

Die Anlage DC6 mit einer Höhe von 12,2 Metern wird über eine LED-Beleuchtung verfügen, zudem wird das BREEAM-Nachhaltigkeitszertifikat „sehr gut“ angestrebt. Für Anfang 2015 ist die Fertigstellung der Immobilie geplant. Das Logistikareal verfügt über Erweiterungskapazitäten auf mehr als 70.000 Quadratmeter.

Die Entwicklung von DC6 wird das Portfolio von Prologis in Venlo weiter vergrößern. Aktuell umfasst der Prologis Park Venlo fünf vollständig vermietete Distributionsanlagen mit insgesamt 156.000 Quadratmetern Fläche.

„Große, moderne Distributionszentren sind nicht nur in Venlo, sondern in den gesamten südlichen Niederlanden knapp“, sagt Bram Verhoeven, Senior Vice President & Country Manager, Prologis Benelux. „Der erhebliche Angebotsmangel, die hohe Vermietungsquote und die steigenden Mieten in Venlo geben uns das nötige Vertrauen für diese spekulative Entwicklung.“

Stephan Satijn, Stadtrat der Gemeinde Venlo, ergänzt: „Logistik ist ein wichtiger Wirtschaftszweig in Venlo und dem nördlichen Teil von Limburg. Wir sind mit dieser Entwicklung sehr zufrieden. Ein Partner wie Prologis betrachtet den Markt auf längere Sicht –  das stimmt mit unserer Sichtweise überein. Venlo wird mit dieser Entwicklung attraktiv für Unternehmen, die auf Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit Wert legen.“

Für Stadtrat Bob Vostermans der Gemeinde Horst aan de Maas ist die Erweiterung ein Beweis für die optimalen Bedingungen am Trade Port North: „Wir verzeichnen eine steigende Nachfrage sowie einen gestärkten Markt und hoffen, dass dieser Erweiterung ähnliche Projekte folgen werden.“

Die neue Immobilienentwicklung bestätigt für den CEO des Trade Port North, Richard Elich, die nachhaltige Bedeutung der Region Venlo-Venray als Top-Logistikstandort. „Die Infrastruktur, die gute Erreichbarkeit, die Verfügbarkeit von Flächen und die konstruktive Zusammenarbeit mit der beteiligten Regierung ermöglichen eine erfolgreiche Zukunft für den Trade Port North“, sagt Richard Elich.

Prologis ist mit einer Gesamtfläche von zirka 1,5 Millionen Quadratmetern Logistik- und Distributionsflächen (Stand: 30. Juni 2014) der führende Anbieter von Industrieimmobilien in der Region Benelux.
